Atlas can track different exercises, learn new ones, and differentiate between unique movements.
It will, however, break up the different parts of a fluid sequence into countable reps. So a burpee, chin up, and push up would all be counted as different types of reps.
Moreover, Atlas is most accurate when more than one rep of a particular exercise is done sequentially. This is because a lot of daily movements look quite similar to the movements associated with specific exercises, so your Atlas does not count those singular, isolated movements towards your daily workout total.
If you want to know if Atlas has learned an exercise that you love, and you are in the Austin area, check out our Motion Genome Project!
